Adam Mitchell is an award-winning stage director and dramaturg known for his inventive Theatre, Music Theatre and Opera productions. He was the Associate Director for Black Swan State Theatre Company and has directed twenty productions for the company. Recent productions include; OIL and EVERY BRILLIANT THING. Most recently he directed THE SNOW for Barking Gecko Theatre Company and THE HYPOTHETICALS for The Last Great Hunt.
He has a real passion for new works and play development. At Black Swan he initiated the Young Writers' Programs and established the Richard Burton Playwriting Award. He has mentored playwrights for The Australian Theatre for Young People’s Fresh Ink programs and dramaturged many new plays, musicals and performances.
His Independent work includes: THE LITTLE PRINCE and LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST (FFO), THE GREAT RIDOLPHI for The Last Great Hunt, THOSE WHO FALL IN LOVE LIKE ANCHORS DROPPED UPON THE OCEAN FLOOR (Griffin Independent/The Blue Room) and premiere productions of MIMMA and THE DRAGON LADY (Adelaide Cabaret Festival commission).
He regularly directs Theatre and Music Theatre for The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), has worked with West Australian Opera, The National Institute Dramatic Arts (NIDA), Victoria College of the Arts, West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Playwriting Australia, Sydney and Melbourne Theatre Companies, Barking Gecko Theatre Co., and The Australian Theatre for Young People.
He is a 40 Under 40 Award winner and has received Equity Guild Awards, Blue Room Theatre Awards, PAWA Awards and the Martin Sims and The West Australian Arts Editor Award.
Gita Bezard is a playwright, devisor, director and performer. She’s a founding member of The Last Great Hunt and mother to a tiny artist in the making.

In 2016 her play GIRL SHUT YOUR MOUTH debuted at Black Swan State Theatre Company and was nominated for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award.
